On my way to Rockness 2010 I visited a Place very near to the Battlefield of Culloden called Clava Cairns. Unlike its brutal neighbour and a music festival, this place gave of an unbeleivable sense of peace and tranquility. Little is still really known about these ancient sites but I am certain that they were also very special places for the people who constructed them all those 1000's of years ago...

Leith has some Great Buildings. I wonder how much longer they will last . The place is really suffering from the tramworks and the recession - what a shame! This picture is of the Co-op building on Great Junction Street. I have put a few more images up on Picassa and will add to over time if I remember.

tideland

I don't usually mess with images much but I was playing around with Picassa 3 for XP on the Dellbook and was rather pleased with the subtle tone effect on this image taken as the tide was going out down at Cramond Foreshore this afternoon.

It reminds me of the colour postcards of the 1900's.

Looks great at large size as you can pick out the Rail bridge in the Distance and the still snow capped hills towards Ben Lomond
